I Need Your Help!

I Need Your Help!

If you are reading my blog, and you enjoy it, and receive benefit from it, PLEASE post a comment! I receive between 600 and 1,000 “comments” per day. Unfortunately, they are all from people Spamming me.  I created my blog to share ideas, to start a dialog. I also created it to publicize the book my wife, Darlyne, and I wrote during the last year of her most recent incarnation. I have given away scores of copies of our book and EVERYONE has thanked us for the healing they experienced by reading it.

I want our book, “Triumph ~ Traveling Towards Death: Preparing For A New Life,”  to become accessible to many, many people, in order to  help them with their challenges, their pain, and their fears. That was Darlyne’s desire when she decided to take on this task. She was a way-shower and a trailblazer. It was her desire to help others who were following in her footsteps – as we all will one day.

If you get benefit from my blog, and/or benefit from our book, I’d like to know about it. Please post a comment, if you are NOT A SPAMMER. Also, please click the Facebook “Like” button to help spread the word. If you ARE a spammer, please do not comment. I will not post your comment. I delete thousands of comments from spammers every week. I am doing my best to create a community of healing here, and you are not helping me. Blessings to all of you.

The Gifts Of Life . . . . .

The Gifts Of Life . . . . .

It has been my experience that I am the happiest when I am being of service. I like to anticipating the needs of others and notice when opportunities appear where I can help out. It’s a good way to get me out of myself. If something is really bothering me, and I can’t seem to do anything about it, I’ve found that the most productive thing I can do is to help someone else out who’s having a rough time in their life-experience. I’ve made a habit of asking God/Goddess to use me to do “healing-work”  – to make a difference in the world. I especially love it when Synchronicity conspires to put me in a position to serve others.

I have one memory that especially stands out. It is very dear to my heart. It happened in 1983 – over 30 years ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday.

I was in downtown Mill Valley, California, and I had to pee really badly. I went into the Depot book store to use their bathroom. Both of the bathrooms were in use. I was almost frantic, when I heard a toilet flush. A moment later the door opened and there was my friend, Rita. She took one look at me and almost broke into tears.

“Are you busy?,” she asked. “Do you have a some time to spend with me?”

“Absolutely!,” I replied, “but FIRST I really have to pee!”

When I came out of the bathroom, we got some coffee and sat at a table outside. I won’t go into what was bothering her so much, but she really needed a friend to be with and help her through her emotional trauma. Fortunately, it was a beautiful, warm, sunny summer day and I had ridden my motorcycle to town. I asked her if she’d like to go riding and she said, “YES!!!”

We rode out of town, over Mt. Tamalpais, up Highway 1 and out onto the Pt. Reyes Peninsula. I worked and lived out there and spent a lot of time in the area. I took Rita to my favorite, secret, spot on a cliff 300 feet above the ocean. We sat there, together, for 2 or 3 hours, looking out over the ocean, and she talked and talked, opening her heart to me.

We rode some more, out Pierce Point Rd. and visited the Thule Elk herd. We had some lunch in Pt. Reyes Station and then took a long, leisurely ride back to Mill Valley where Rita lived. We cooked dinner together, talked some more into the night, and when I was saying “so long” to her, she hugged me tightly and told me that she felt as if she’d just spent a week in a tropical paradise. Her pain was healed and she was completely at peace.

Om My God!!! That was one of the richest experiences of my life. God had honored me greatly and I felt humbled by it.  No amount of money could have bought that for me! Some people would say, “Wow! What a coincidence!,” or ,”That sure was LUCKY!!”

It was neither a coincidence OR luck. Actually, I don’t believe that either of those things exist. It was SYNCHRONICITY! It was God/Goddess working in our lives. He/She/IT choreographed the whole thing, perfectly! I’ve noticed, in my life, that synchronicity happens all the time. We just have to notice it.  It is, many times,  very subtle – not nearly as evident as that day with my friend, Rita. But if we’ll take the time to slow down and NOTICE it happening in our lives, and acknowledge it, we’ll know that we’re really never alone and that we are safe!

I haven’t seen Rita in over 25 years, but I’ll bet that from time to time she remembers that day, too, and it brings a smile to her lips and a feeling of warmth in her heart just like it does to mine.

We Are Like Water . . . . .

We Are Like Water . . . . .

Water is pure. So are we. Yes, water gets mixed with contaminants and looks dirty and discolored, but the water molecule itself is pure. The water may look muddy, or may smell badly, but that’s not the water itself. The water is pure! If you mix water with mud or oil or even sewage and then leave it out in the sunlight, what happens? The water evaporates and leaves behind that which appeared to sully it. The water returns to its natural state, becomes a cloud and eventually returns in the form of rain. The rain is pure. We can collect it and drink it and nothing tastes sweeter. (I’m not talking about acid rain, of course!)Icy Branches

Likewise, we are like water. We rain down into our bodies. We arrive in the form of  helpless beautiful babies, pure and innocent. And then we begin to become contaminated. We are contaminated with erroneous beliefs, fears, superstitions. We are contaminated by our environment and by the often well-meaning, but misinformed people who teach us the same error-thoughts that they were taught by other often well-meaning people. And so, when we’re all grown up, and before that – really – we are fearful, angry, resentful, sad, mad and full of dread. We suffer from self-imposed limitations, because that is what we are taught, by people and institutions and our own childish misinterpretations.

Many of us come to believe that we are victims – helpless and weak, and then we blame others, or outside circumstances for our misfortune(s). We take on an  “They made me do it!” or an “It’s not my fault! You did it to me!” attitude. The truth of the matter is that we are powerful “beyond our wildest dreams!” As I wrote in an earlier post, we are made of god-stuff! We are what God IS doing. God created us by becoming us. We are Infinite and Eternal! We are FOREVER!   I believe that our main “job” in life is to REMEMBER THE TRUTH of our beings, and RECLAIM OUR POWER!  (“You shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you FREE!”) And then we can let go of our fears and superstitions and remember WHO WE ARE, at which point – and from that moment on we can live rich, full, abundant, joyful, wonder-full lives, like we were supposed to do all along.

And, of course, the day will come for each and every one of us when we will evaporate again, leaving the contamination behind and return to the truth of who we really are. I am not saying that our lives here on earth are filled with negativity, pain, and misery alone. We do experience that, but our lives here are full of wonder and beauty and joy and love, too. We create what we focus upon. We get what we give away. If we want love, we need to be loving, and give our love to others, etc. . .  Our lives here are amazing gifts. We chose to come here. We are in school here, learning what we came here to learn. But when it’s all said and done, as I’ve said so many times before in my blog, there’s no reason to fear “death.” It really doesn’t exist! It’s just an illusion. I mean, can you imagine a molecule of water fearing its own evaporation? That would be pretty silly, wouldn’t it?

In The Play Of Life. . . . .

In The Play Of Life. . . . .

“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players . . . ”      ~William Shakespeare ~

I’ve been experiencing my present incarnation for over 71 years. During that time, many family members, friends and acquaintances have made their exits from this space/time reality. They are no longer in physical form. My first experience with “death” was when I was in high school. A friend and classmate of mine, Mike, was killed at a local rock quarry. He lost his footing and fell headlong into a shaft and suffocated. He was 15 years of age. Within 2 days of that, my grandfather, Reed, died of a heart attack. I went to 2 funerals in 3 days. Since then, many, many others have “died.”IMG_0250

Betty, my mother, “died” in 1997. Darlyne, my late wife, “died” in 2007. Many others have also “died,” and have “gone on,” as we say. The interesting thing is that, Betty, my mother, is no longer my mother. Darlyne, is no longer my wife. They “played their parts,” and have since “exited, stage-left,” and have removed their costumes. They have returned to their natural state – that of a light-being, who is infinite and eternal.

We are all infinite and eternal beings of light. We incarnate here and play our parts in the performance of our “lives.” It is my belief that we decide which roles we’ll play ~ and with whom we’ll play them ~ before we take on human form. It’s really neat to think about, at least I think so. Who knows what our next life will be like, or what our previous life or lives have been, or for that matter, where they have been. I don’t think we necessarily continually incarnate on planet earth. We live in a Universe that is so vast we’re only aware of a small fraction of it. It goes on forever! We live in an Infinite Universe. It must be, because if it’s not, then what lies beyond the edges of our Universe? Think about THAT!  And then, of course, there’s the question of parallel universes. (There may be an infinite number of them. . . )

I think about all of this a lot! It thrills me! We live in a HUGE PLAYGROUND!  Where will we “live” next, I wonder? And what happens after our sun dies and the earth freezes solid, or is consumed by our sun going super-nova? Well, there’s an infinite number of other suns and planets and galaxies “out there,” that we may one day call home. Perhaps we already have.  Fascinating, isn’t it? I think it really puts things in perspective.
