Fear Of “Death” And “Dying”

Fear Of “Death” And “Dying”

I always use quotes around the words “death” and “dying,” because those words just aren’t meaningful — not to Who I Am. The day will come when I will leave this body for the final time, and when I do my body will certainly “die.” So will my ego. My ego is that part of me that truly fears “death,” because that’s the part of me that will “die.” My ego is a very good thing. It keeps me safe in the physical world. However, it also limits me. It hinders my growth — my Spiritual growth. My Spiritual growth is what really matters to me; what I care about most. It is the focus of my life. It didn’t used to be, and I was miserable then. I was soul-dead, and today I am not. I’ve turned my life around. I’ve “put things in perspective.” I’ve discovered what really matters to me. I focus upon the Truth of my Being.

Because of this focus, I care about others as much as I care about myself. I care about our beautiful blue planet, Gaia, and our environment. I reach out to others and offer a helping hand because I truly care and because I know that we are all One. We are all THE ONE being each of us. “God is within me, not as the raisin is within a cookie, but as the ocean is within a wave.”  I love that quote. Unfortunately, I do not know who who first penned it, so I cannot give her or him credit. By the way, if the word, “God” bothers you, then use another word. I’m not talking about the white-haired, muscular, Michelangelo, Judeo-Christian god of guilt, shame, fear and damnation. I’m talking the REAL God That IS EVERYTHING, including you and including me.

I’ve created this blog because of the book my late-wife, Darlyne, and I wrote during the last year of her most recent incarnation. We want to alleviate the pain and fear people feel to the utmost of our ability. Darlyne blazed the way for all of us, without fear or dread of what was to come. She knew the truth, as do I: There is no death. We never die. Our lives are eternal and the experience we are having today is just one tiny moment along the path of our INFINITE journey. There is nothing to fear. Death is perfectly safe! If you could but see death, you would rush to it with open arms.”
