Robert Monroe wrote many books about OOBE’s (Out of Body Experiences.) “Journeys Out Of The Body,” was published in 1971 and I read it about 15 years later. It fascinated me from the first page and I couldn’t put the book down. Robert Monroe was a very talented astral traveler and wrote about his experiences while out of his body. In 1995, Robert left on the ultimate OOBE, when he left his  body and “cut the cord.” I know he’s somewhere, having an amazing time right now – and always.

I wanted so much to be able to do the same! Unfortunately, I didn’t follow up with my desire to pursue that end  and then life continued on and it mostly slipped my mind. Just lately, I’ve been talking with some friends, my own sister included, who have had OOBE’s and my interest and enthusiasm has been rekindled. I believe that we have OOBE’s often, when we dream. I firmly believe that when we are dreaming, we are actually out of our bodies and are really doing what we are dreaming about doing. I’m sure that was the case the other night, when I vividly experienced flying over a thick forest of conifers, Pine trees and Douglas Firs. I was high above the forest, looking down on the tops of those trees, amazed at their numbers and their beauty.

If you are a person who experiences a fear of “death” and “dying,” I highly suggest you read “Journeys Out Of The Body,” by Robert Monroe and start practicing. It’s the best way I can think of to viscerally realize we are NOT OUR BODIES. We are the Spiritual Beings, who use these bodies to experience things in the 3rd dimension, who are immortal and who never die, EVER! There, I put a link on Amazon for you. I have no fear of “death,” but if I did, I know that once I became adept at astral travel and could do so whenever I wanted, my fear of “death” would vanish forever.
